Terms of Use
Last updated 5 October 2026. Draft awaiting counsel review before paid plans turn on.
These terms are the agreement between you and GreenRoom (the "service"). By creating an account or using GreenRoom you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
Adults only
You must be 18 or older to use GreenRoom. By signing up you confirm that you are. If we learn that you aren't, we'll close the account without a refund. If you invite someone to a band, you confirm they are 18 or older too.
Your account
Give us true information, keep your password safe, and don't share your login. You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else got in. One person, one account.
The beta
GreenRoom is in beta. Things will change and occasionally break. We'll do our best to keep your data safe and to tell you about changes, but we can't promise the service will always be available or error-free. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
Your content
You own all rights to everything you create here, forever. Read the full promise. What you put in stays yours. You give us a licence to store it, back it up, and show it to the people you share it with, only as needed to run GreenRoom. You promise you have the right to share what you upload, for example that you own or have permission for the photos and files you add. Band members can see what you post to the band, so share with that in mind.
Acceptable use
GreenRoom is for adult musicians to run their bands. Don't use it to:
- let in, contact or keep an account for anyone under 18;
- offer or arrange commercial sexual services, or recruit or move people for sex, labor or any other exploitation (human trafficking);
- buy, sell or arrange illegal drugs, weapons or other illegal goods;
- share intimate pictures of anyone without their consent, including computer-made ones;
- use bands, events, availability, tasks, announcements or comments to coordinate any of the above;
- harass, threaten, stalk or abuse anyone;
- break the law or help anyone else break it;
- share sexual content involving minors, or any content that exploits or endangers a child;
- upload things you have no right to share, or spread malware;
- scrape the service, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or get around its limits or security;
- spam people or send invitations to people who don't want them;
- pretend to be someone else.
We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, and we report serious illegal content to the authorities as the law requires. We cooperate with law enforcement (see information for law enforcement). Anyone can report a problem with the Report link, and anyone can ask for an intimate picture to be removed on the removal form. See Safety.
Bands and their leaders
A band's leader and managers decide who is in the band and what roles people have. Band information is shared with members. GreenRoom isn't a party to arrangements between bandmates, venues, or anyone else, including money, bookings, or gear.
Paid plans
Paid plans aren't live yet. When they are, the pricing page will say exactly what you get and what it costs, and beta bands keep what they have today. You'll be able to pay monthly or yearly (yearly costs ten months' price, so two months are free). Paid plans renew automatically each period until you cancel, and before you pay we'll show the price, how often you're billed, the renewal date and how to cancel, and ask you to agree to the automatic renewal. You can cancel any time from your account. Prices may change for future periods with advance notice. Taxes are added where required. Refunds work as described in the refund policy.
Founding and beta members
Bands and people who joined during the beta keep the plan features they have today when paid plans begin, unless we tell you otherwise well ahead of time. Founding-member perks are exactly what is written in the offer you were given, and nothing is promised beyond that.
If something goes wrong because of you
You agree to cover reasonable losses we suffer because you broke these terms or the law, for example if content you uploaded infringes someone's rights and they make a claim against us.
Ending things
You can stop using GreenRoom and ask us to delete your account any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts others at risk. If we close an account for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of anything you prepaid.
Our promises, and their limits
GreenRoom is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we don't make promises about uptime, fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will be free of errors, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as a missed gig, lost booking or lost income. Our total liability for anything arising from your use of the service is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the problem, or $50 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, and then they apply only as far as the law allows. Nothing here limits responsibility that can't legally be limited.
Copyright
If you believe content on GreenRoom infringes your copyright, send us the details through the contact page and we'll look at it promptly.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell signed-in members before it takes effect. If you keep using GreenRoom after that, you accept the new terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed.
Disputes
We'd like to fix any problem directly first, so please contact us. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Washington, where GreenRoom's operator is based.
